Selection of size of planetary ball mill:
According to the number of materials to be ground, choose the size of the planetary mill.
Calculation formula for size selection of planetary ball mill: a = C /ρ* 3.
Note: A is the size of planetary mill (unit: l), C is the mass of primary grinding material (unit: kg), ρis the bulk density of grinding material (unit: kg /L).
For example, if 2kg of material is ground at one time and the bulk density of material is 1.5kg/L, the size of planetary mill in row a = 2/ 1.5*3 = 4L is selected.
Confirm the match of mill jar and ball：The principle of ball mill determines that there will be a small amount of ball mill jar and ball wear material into the material in the grinding process, which may bring impurities to the material. Choosing suitable material of jar and ball can reduce or avoid impurity pollution.
Generally speaking, we choose the right jar according to the composition of the material and its requirements for impurities.
1. Select the jar and grinding ball with the same material (composition) as the ground material, such as grinding iron ore, whose main composition is iron. Stainless steel can can be selected as grinding jar and stainless steel ball as grinding ball.
2. Choose the jar and grinding ball with little wear. For example, you can choose zirconia jar and zirconia grinding ball, agate jar and agate ball.
3. According to some materials after grinding, there will be high-temperature baking process in the post process. Nylon jars, polyurethane jars and other materials that cannot be completely decomposed at high temperature can be selectedMake sure if you have any special requirements.The general grinding of materials only needs normal pressure and air environment, but some special materials have some special requirements for the grinding conditions.
1. Some materials will react with oxygen in the air during research and grinding. In this case, vacuum tank should be selected to vacuum and inert gas should be filled
2. When the cooling temperature of the cold denatured material is too high or the cooling temperature of the grinding liquid is too high, some cooling methods are needed.
3.Some materials need to be grinded at high temperature. Generally, they can be heated by water bath, oil bath or direct electric heating.
